This compressor/limiter from VINTECH AUDIO is an upgraded reproduction of the vintage NEVE 33609. Its Class A/B circuitry has been updated to Class A. It features three custom-made iron core transformers on two channels.

The original vintage Neve 33609 replaced the 2254 and is a staple compressor in recording and broadcasting environments. Its unique sound, unique to the NEVE 33609, enhances the brilliance of your music.

The VINTECH-AUDIO 609CA upgrades the NEVE 33609's Class A/B circuit to a Class A circuit. It features three custom iron-core transformers per channel (two channels). This delivers a richer, more powerful sound than the original. The commanding low-midrange and stable midrange, combined with a top end that's never harsh (yet vibrant and expressive), are the epitome of traditional British sound. The beautiful analog sound, down to the last reverb, offers a quality that modern equipment and plug-ins simply cannot match.

The 609CA can be used in stereo link or dual mono mode. The limiter and compressor sections are completely independent. The compression curve, compared to the original Neve 33609, is a perfect match.
