While there is a slight friction noise due to the vibration of the strings, the sound energy has been reduced to approximately one-hundredth that of an acoustic viola. The perceived volume has been reduced to approximately one-tenth (manufacturer measurements). Use headphones to enjoy playing anytime, without disturbing those around you.

The neck, fingerboard, strings, bridge, etc. are the same as those of an acoustic viola. A standard viola shoulder rest can also be used, allowing for a natural, seamless performance. This is an authentic viola with meticulous attention to detail.
