The TLA-100A is a renowned mono compressor that stands out from the mono compressors/limiters released by many manufacturers. Its simple front panel and analog VU meter deliver smooth, warm compression characteristics. Summit's unique ""soft knee"" is unlike anything else available. Attack and release times are selectable between three settings: FAST, MEDIUM, and SLOW, using independent switches. The gain and gain reduction controls feature large knobs for precise control. Bypass and stereo link switching are clearly visible, and the output gain/reduction switchable meter makes level checking easy.
