The MPC-100A integrates a microphone preamplifier and compressor/limiter, eliminating unnecessary wiring and contacts, and delivering a clear output without compromising the tube tone. The microphone preamplifier section supports line input and features 48V phantom power, a 2-position switchable PAD (-15dB/-25dB), and high-impedance loading control. Furthermore, it employs a stepped attenuator and includes a clip indicator. The compressor section features threshold, release, and gain controls, with switchable attack and release times (FAST/MEDIUM/SLOW). It also includes a switchable level/gain reduction meter, clip indicator, and link/bypass switch for easy operation verification.
