The SM63 is an elegant, yet rugged, high-output omnidirectional dynamic microphone for applications where performance and design are paramount.

The SM63 features a smooth, wide frequency response optimized for speech intelligibility, and its controlled low-frequency roll-off reduces floor and wind noise from the stand. Additionally, a hum-cancelling coil within the microphone ensures immunity to hum-prone environments, such as near studio lighting.

All three models feature Shure's patented shock mount system, which reduces handling noise. The VERAFLEX® grille is highly impact-resistant, rust-resistant, moisture-resistant, and corrosion-resistant, protecting the microphone from drops of up to two meters. A built-in pop filter effectively reduces breath noise. The SM63L and SM63LB include a dual-layer windscreen for outdoor use.
