Like a typical unidirectional microphone, attenuation is 6 dB at a 90° incidence angle and reaches 20-30 dB at 180°. Diffuse sound (reverberant sound) is reduced by 4.8 dB compared to frontal incidence, a value equivalent to the directivity index. The higher this value, the less room sound the microphone picks up, reducing the risk of acoustic feedback.
