This round (conical) replacement stylus for the OM DJ is ideal for a wide range of styles, from four-on-the-floor dance music to DJ styles that make extensive use of scratching. Compared to the oval stylus in the same series, the stylus tip does not penetrate as deeply into the record groove, making it ideal for scratching and cueing.

*The Ortofon Stylus series can be used with both Concorde (MK1) and OM cartridges. Concorde/OM cartridges can be used with different replacement stylus models, but this may result in reduced cartridge performance or noise.

*The difference between elliptical and conical stylus shapes is in their shape. For example, both Ortofon Stylus DJs can be used as replacement styluses for Concorde (or OM) DJs. Generally, conical styluses are considered more stable and less prone to skipping, while elliptical styluses are more focused on sound quality. While there's not much difference between the two, we recommend conical styluses for scratching and elliptical styluses for house and other genres where sound quality is important.
