■Channel Strip

VOXBOX is a channel strip that combines the legendary Manley Mono Mic Preamp, a low-ratio ELOP compressor, a 3-band peak-dip EQ, and an ELOP limiter/de-esser. It's a natural fit for vocals, but it's also incredibly compatible with instruments, especially electric bass, so much so that bassists will wonder why it wasn't named ""BASSBOX.""

Microphone Preamp

- Microphone input transformer custom designed at the Manley Labs factory
- 48V phantom power switchable from the front panel
- Passive BASS CUT switch eliminates unwanted low frequencies and pop noise
- Transformer-balanced XLR and 1/4"" standard phone jack outputs
- Gain switch with variable feedback control allows for a wide range of settings from mellow to aggressive, forward-thumping sounds
- Large headroom up to +31dBu, 5-10dB more than typical professional equipment
- Super-clean Class A vacuum tube circuitry

Compressor Section
- Based on the opto-isolator approach of the ELOP limiter
- ELOP designed specifically for limiting The ratio is set to 3:1, and it features attack and release controls.

Equipped with a Plutec EQ Mid Frequency Equalizer

Six low-frequency bands from 20Hz to 150Hz and six high-frequency bands from 6.4kHz to 20kHz provide a total of 33 adjustable frequency bands

Input source can be selected from line input, preamp output, or insert return

DE-ESSER & LIMITER Section

Functions as a de-esser/peak limiter to remove sibilance

Four selectable de-esser frequencies from 3kHz to 12kHz

In the LIMIT 10:1 position, it functions as a traditional LA-2A-type limiter

Select between de-esser and limiter as needed
