The “Razornator” is a unique stereo effects unit featuring a proprietary algorithm developed by 112dB in the Netherlands. With five chromatic-tuning resonating delay lines, it can emulate the resonance characteristics of physical objects—such as the body of an instrument, a room, or a structure.

Each resonating delay line can be tuned chromatically, allowing you to set them to chord-like pitch relationships and create highly musical effects. Furthermore, the built-in envelope follower enables expressive sound processing that responds to the dynamics of the input signal.

It features detailed sound design with 12 parameters, the ability to save and recall all parameters, and MIDI control for all parameters. Featuring a sleek aluminum enclosure that complements Erica Synths’ Compact Desktop Series, it opens up new possibilities for live performances, studio work, and all kinds of sonic experimentation.

The Razornator is a stereo audio processor that combines multiple finely tuned “modules” designed to alter the harmonic content of the input signal.

The signal path begins with an audio gain stage capable of boosting the signal by up to +24 dB. At this stage, effects similar to analog overdrive can also be achieved. The signal then passes through a low-pass filter with resonance control and is sent to five delay-based resonators capable of chromatic tuning. These resonators can be tuned manually and are also controllable via an envelope follower.

The signal that has passed through the resonators is mixed, limited by a compressor, and then blended with the dry signal. It then passes through an equalizer and is finally sent to the balanced output stage.
