■ A Microphone Preamp that Meets Your Needs

The HA-81A's preamp section features an 80dB all-discrete Class A design, using Carnhill St Ives input and output transformers?the same as those used in other Elite series modules. The preamp includes gain, output trim, -20dB pad, polarity inversion, and +48V phantom power.

■ The Best Console-Style Equalizer Ever

The HA-81's equalizer section is a highly musical 4-band inductor equalizer with high-pass and low-pass filters. While typical 73-style 3-band equalizers excel musically, they often lack functionality. The HA-81A EQ excels in both musicality and functionality. It offers extremely fine control over high and low-frequency shelf or bell response curves, dual Q on both midbands, dedicated high-mid and low-mid bands, and 40 selectable frequencies.

The Heritage HA-81A EQ uses only rotary switches and high-precision coaxial potentiometers. And, like all products in our Elite series, the HA-81A EQ is manufactured using state-of-the-art manufacturing and design techniques without compromising sound quality or cutting corners. All production takes place at Heritage Audio's headquarters in Madrid, Spain.

* Microphone Input Impedance: HI=1200Ω or higher, LO=300Ω or higher. Impedance gradually increases with higher gain, making it ideal for low-gain ribbon microphones. The input is transformer-balanced and floating.


* Line Input Impedance: 10kΩ for bridged, transformer-balanced, and floating connections.


* Output Impedance: Less than 75Ω, transformer is balanced and floating, capable of driving a 600Ω load.


* Maximum Output: +26.5 dBu or higher with a 600 Ω load (internal termination)
