An in-line preamplifier usable with passive microphones (dynamic/ribbon). Connecting it between the microphone and the microphone preamp adds a clean, transparent +28dB gain to any microphone.

With its sophisticated Class A design and carefully selected FETs, the DM1 achieves extremely low output impedance and exceptionally low noise levels.

Furthermore, a specialized buffer amplifier ensures a consistent 28dB gain regardless of the connected load.

The DM1 boosts signals from passive microphones, sending significantly improved output levels to the preamplifier without adding noise or coloration.

Its output impedance is also among the lowest in its class, making it less susceptible to RF interference, buzz, and hum, even with long cable runs.

Its slim yet robust metal chassis, sturdy construction, and high manufacturing standards ensure reliability even in demanding stage environments.

■Important Note

The DM1 is designed for passive microphones (dynamic microphones and ribbon microphones). It cannot be used with microphones that require phantom power (condenser microphones and active ribbon microphones).

To power the DM1, a preamplifier/mixer/audio interface that provides 48V phantom power is required separately.
