~The Birth of Badass~
In 1972, Glen Quan—a musician and innovative luthier—felt a strong need for higher-quality bridges for guitars and basses. With the collaboration of Leo Mariari of “Leos Music” in Oakland, California, the first Badass bridge was born.

Crafted from high-density zinc alloy, the “Leo Quan Badass” bridge dramatically improved attack, sustain, and tonal clarity. The Badass bridge quickly gained popularity among artists seeking to upgrade their Fender basses and was eventually adopted for several Fender artist signature models.

Throughout the 1980s, brands such as BC Rich, Spector, and Kramer adopted the Badass bridge as standard equipment, further solidifying its reputation among artists.
