Compared to traditional drum miking setups that require numerous microphones and cables, the ‘EAD50’ captures the entire drum set with high-quality sound through a simple setup that involves attaching a sensor unit to the bass drum hoop. Additionally, since sound checks for each microphone are no longer necessary, setup time is drastically reduced. Furthermore, since it incorporates peripheral functions such as a mixer, effects processor, and drum sound module, the ‘EAD50’ alone allows for a hassle-free drum PA setup.

Traditionally, drum sound design relied heavily on the PA engineer, making it difficult for drummers to make fine adjustments to their sound themselves. Designed with Yamaha’s decades of accumulated expertise in sound, and in collaboration with leading recording engineers, it features an XY-type stereo condenser microphone that enables natural, high-quality sound capture. It captures everything from the distinctive attack of the drums to the finest nuances. *The ‘EAD50’ comes bundled with the ‘DSU50’ drum sensor unit.

You can easily perform, record, and film your favorite songs, as well as edit and upload the footage.
