Phase relationships are extremely important for high-quality sound mixing.

For example, when combining multiple tracks on a stereo mix bus, the frequency range and phase can cause the sounds of instruments to overlap or influence each other. Also, the bass may be out of phase with the kick or rhythm guitar, or cancellation due to overlapping frequency ranges can cause a temporary ""drop"" in the low end.

Similarly, it is a common phenomenon that the snare drum sound becomes thinner when the resonance of the tom is out of phase with the snare drum. Pi dynamically rotates the phase of each mixer channel, improving the accuracy of phase correlation. It minimizes the negative effects that arise between phases, significantly improving the overall sound of the mix. Try adding Pi to the final insert slot of each mixer channel in your DAW and listen to how the sound changes.

• Dynamic Phase Rotation

Instruments with similar frequencies, such as bass and kick drum, can temporarily experience phase shifts or cancel each other's fundamental frequencies. This results in a thin, weak sound. Because this phenomenon occurs to varying degrees within changing frequencies, simple phase rotators or equalizers cannot solve it. Pi constantly analyzes the phase correlation of each track and dynamically adjusts each phase. This maintains the timbre and depth of the instruments and achieves optimal correlation.

• Accurate Multitrack Recognition

Pi uses its proprietary central background processor to analyze and process the phase position of each track with high precision at the sample level, improving the optimal phase relationship within the mix in real time.

The Pi's built-in display shows the overall phase correlation as well as the movement of each frequency band.

64 groupings are available for matching multiple microphones or related instruments, allowing for collective phase adjustment. Two modes are available for the phase adjustment band: ""Full Range"" and ""Low Band.""
