Released in 2018, Auto-Align Post has become an indispensable tool for audio processing for many mixers and editors.

When microphones are recorded from different positions, comb filtering and phase shifts can occur when mixing the sounds. However, Auto-Align Post automatically detects and corrects phase, making it easy to avoid these shifts.

This new version, Auto-Align Post 2, features a state-of-the-art phase spectrum correction module, refined algorithms, and an improved user interface. It also supports ARA2, making it compatible with DAWs such as Nuendo and Fender Studio.

■New Features of Auto-Align Post 2

• Phase Spectrum Correction

Production sound mixers often use high-pass filters to cut low-frequency noise from boom microphones during on-location recordings. However, when mixing with unfiltered microphones, this creates a phase difference in the signal, resulting in the loss of important low-end frequencies and the ""body"" of dialogue.

Auto-Align Post 2's new phase spectrum correction module detects and corrects frequency-dependent phase differences in real time. This feature results in a well-balanced phase spectrum and a richer sound.


• Compatible with ARA2-enabled DAWs

Auto-Align Post 2 can be used with ARA2-enabled DAWs such as Nuendo and Fender Studio.


• Spectral Correlation Meter (AAX)
