METACONFORMER is a smart MIDI router/thru box. METACONFORMER features two independent MIDI inputs and four MIDI outputs. One of these outputs can be configured as a sync signal output. Currently, METACONFORMER supports three types of MIDI message processing modes.

Supported Modes (3 currently supported modes)
Splitter Mode:
Splits a single MIDI channel keyboard into multiple zones. Notes from each zone are sent to different instruments, allowing you to play multiple instruments simultaneously and hear the tonal interactions of each instrument without switching MIDI channels.

Combiner Mode:
Combine multiple monophonic instruments into a single multitimbral polyphonic instrument for performance. This resembles the voice allocation algorithm of polyphonic synthesizers. However, since you can play with different tones rather than the same one, it greatly expands the potential for creating interesting harmonies and rhythms.

Translator Mode:
Play instrument parameters by pressing notes. Received notes are converted into CC messages corresponding to the specified parameters. This mode allows you to “play” sound parameters instead of turning knobs. It works exceptionally well with Granular Delay, Resonant Filter, and Paraphonic Oscillator.

SimplexFM
SimplexFM is innovative new firmware that transforms the METACONFORMER module into a 4-track digital organismic synthesizer.

SimplexFM is a pocket-sized successor inheriting the ideas of the LYRA-8.
Its complex and unpredictable sonic behavior arises not from numerous modulators or LFOs, but from the interaction between timbres themselves.
