Variations

The Breakout Box is a portable, standalone module that operates in two modes.

FLUX Combined Mode
Use FLUX as a controller to control external hardware via CV or MIDI/MPE.
MIDI-to-CV Converter Mode
Compatible with any DAW or sequencer supporting MIDI CC messages.
In either mode, the Breakout Box connects to the host device via USB-C for power and data. The compact metal enclosure measures 140 x 45 x 34 mm. Its front panel and internal structure are designed for mounting as a 6HP Eurorack module. Even when integrated into a Eurorack system, no internal power supply is required; it is powered via the USB port.

When used with FLUX, the following key FLUX parameters are available as CV and MIDI outputs:

Pitch and Velocity (Mono/Duo)
Six bipolar CV outputs from the Timbral keyboard (can be treated as independent sensors or as 3D XYZ data)
Tilt CV output
Additionally, when used as a MIDI-to-CV converter, it supports control via standard MIDI, MPE, and CC messages. CV outputs can be mapped based on user settings. Settings are configured using a PC and stored in the Breakout Box's non-volatile memory.
