""AMPLE ETHNO BANJO"" is a software sound source that lets you play the five-string banjo however you like. It features nine articulations, including sustain, natural harmonics, palm mute, slide, hammer-on/pull-off, and more, painstakingly sampled from each string of a DEERING SIERRA BANJO, in a dry, natural sound without reverberation. Audio samples recorded from four microphone positions can be mixed. Resonance time and volume controls are provided to adjust the resonance, essential for enhancing the expressiveness and realism of acoustic instruments.

In terms of performance, the instrument is equipped with features to support performance expression, such as the SAHDS modulation system, which allows for natural and realistic vibrato, advanced bend, which allows individual strings to bend while the other strings are sounding, and a capo logic system optimized for 5-string banjos. It also incorporates body resonance and automatically inserts fret noise and release noise at appropriate points, creating lively performances.

The Strummer mode for chord playing allows you to mix arpeggios and strums using up to eight rhythm patterns. Of course, it's not limited to patterns; it also supports up/down strokes, mutes, and arpeggios that pluck specific strings, allowing you to freely control chords with key switches.
