CELTIC ERA 2 is a cinematic sound source created by producer Eduardo Tarilonte, the creator of the ERA series, featuring a collection of traditional instruments that express the worldview of Celtic mythology. Experience Celtic culture through the sounds that have musically shaped the Irish landscape for generations. This is the perfect instrument collection for creators looking to add unique sounds to their own music, whether they're using authentic sounds for traditional scoring, film music or TV documentaries about the Emerald Isle, or fantasy games, film soundtracks, or new age music.
This approximately 25GB (uncompressed) library features 36 distinctive Celtic wind, string, and percussion instruments, including the distinctively melodic ""Irish Whistle,"" the ""Uilleann Pipes,"" a type of bagpipe played by Irish musicians blending the sounds of a chanter, drone, and regulator, and the Irish frame drum ""Bodhran,"" all recorded with rich detail and pristine quality. All instruments have been meticulously multisampled using Kahayan U47 microphones and preamps and premium ribbon microphones, featuring multiple dynamic levels, various articulations, round robins, realistic legato samples, and dedicated glissando samples. The true highlight of this collection is the collection of Bronze Age instruments: the ""Carnyx,"" ""Cornu,"" ​​""Dord,"" and ""War Horns."" Now you can bring to life the sounds that have been etched in people's eardrums for thousands of years in your music.
Also included are 35 Soundscapes patches, a staple of Eduardo Tarilonte's work, layering pads, ambiences, harps, bells, and more to create dreamy soundscapes.

Highly Expressive and Controllable
Many of the included instruments feature multiple articulations that can be switched in real time with key switches. Ornamental articulations are also available, allowing you to create atmospheric phrases. Instruments with sustained tones feature beautiful legato, and some woodwinds, such as the ""Irish Flute,"" allow you to switch between sampled, natural finger vibrato and modulated vibrato.

Some instruments even feature two of the same instrument for even more variety. For example, you can play a harp duet using different instruments. Additionally, MIDI phrases are mapped to some percussion instruments, allowing you to play both jig (6/8 time) and reel (4/4 time) styles with just one finger. Strumming patches are also available for ""Acoustic Guitar"" and ""Irish Bouzuoki."" You can use MIDI phrases to create realistic chord strums by specifying the chord root and type (open, major, minor, or 7th).
All instruments feature audio samples recorded in a closed, nearly reverberant format, allowing for flexible sound creation within your existing setup to suit your project.

Instruments
Many instruments feature multiple articulations that can be switched via keyswitches or MIDI note velocity. In addition to basic playing techniques, the album includes instrument-specific ornamentations and a wide variety of articulations. You can also adjust vibrato strength and speed and select various noise settings. Percussion includes MIDI patterns in both reel (4/4 time) and jig (6/8 time). ""Acoustic Guitar"" and ""Irish Bouzuoki"" offer dedicated patches that allow you to strum MIDI phrases while simply specifying the root and chord type (open/major/minor/7th).

Soundscapes
Each patch is themed around elements of nature (desert, sky, wind) or ancient history, and layers up to four sounds, including pads, ambience, harp, bells, strings, and voice, to create a texture. Each sound has its own independent volume, and by assigning a MIDI CC, you can individually control the volume of each sound in real time. This allows you to create dynamic textures with ever-changing expressions.
A total of 35 sounds, including Avalon, Battlefield Sorrow, Burial Mound, Celtic Adventure, Celtic Horizon, Celtic Strings, Celtic Winds, Druids Cave, Druids Temple, Epic Strings, Faerie Whispers, Gentle Darkness, Highland Echoes, Land of Gods, Through the Mist, and Vocal Organ.
