The AD2 Dead & Dry Collection offers two distinctive vintage kits. Both kits were recorded using a variety of techniques at Stockholm's legendary Ingrid Studios, resulting in an extremely warm and punchy sound.

The Vintage Dead kit is ideal for beats and breaks, psychedelic indie pop like Tame Impala, Khruangbin, and Glass Beams, and hard rock like Queens of the Stone Age and Death from Above 1979.

Vintage Dry captures the vibe of the '70s with the 1968 Ludwig Silver Sparkle drums, perfect for the sounds of artists like Daft Punk, Fleetwood Mac, Neil Young, Anderson Paak, and Justice. The Dead & Dry Collection is packed with all the vintage charm of the era.

Authentic 1970s Studio Drum Kit
Vintage Drum Kit - 1968 Ludwig Silver Sparkle Kit: Drum kits don't get much more '70s than this. The 1968 Ludwig Silver Sparkle is like a sparkly orb in a drum kit, and it'll get you feeling equally groovy.

But to get that authentic '70s drum sound popularized by artists like Daft Punk and Justice, we pulled out all the retro tricks. We started by tuning and damping each individual drum using the '70s method. We stuffed the kick drum with a pillow and a large piece of felt. We covered the snare head with newspaper and the toms with more felt. To enhance audio authenticity, the recordings were made using only 1960s-70s microphones (Coles, Neumann, Sennheiser, and Bang & Olufsen) sent from the studio's vintage API console.
