Electric Grand was recorded using the YAMAHA CP-80 electric grand piano, combining three different characteristics (acoustic hammer, direct output, and amp output) and seven recording methods.

■Sound
The Yamaha CP-80 is an electro-acoustic instrument produced from the late 1970s to the mid-1980s. The Electric Grand was created by meticulously sampling the CP-80. While the CP-80 has hammers and strings like an acoustic piano, it also has a pickup underneath the strings, which transmits the sound to an amplifier like an electric guitar or bass. Combining acoustic, electric, and amplified sounds allows for a unique sound that sounds like a piano, yet possesses more harmonic complexity than a typical acoustic piano. The Addictive Keys engine also features a variety of effects, allowing you to add tremolo and chorus and customize the tone. By exploring extreme settings, you can discover new sounds.
