This kit, converted from concert toms (without resonant heads), has undergone meticulous custom treatment, resulting in a thump machine packed with serious punch and magic.

Dead as Dead as It Gets
To achieve the perfect punchy sound, you need to control the drum resonance, resonance, and room reflections. Typically, this involves encasing the kit in damped gobo walls and treating the drumheads with damper material. But the Vintage Dead ADpak is more than just a drum kit.
A nearly anechoic ""dead box"" was custom-built at Stockholm's legendary Ingrid Studios, completely surrounding the kit with overhead and close-up microphones. This creates a distinctively dead drum sound, while allowing you to blend in external room microphones to your liking for unparalleled separation.
We've used all the classic techniques, including tea towels, towels, blankets, tape, and moon gel, to perfectly dampen every kit.
The result is a beatmaker's dream come true: control every aspect of your mix and push it to the limits. Add your desired processing to each kit and make your drumming even more SLAP!
