====================================
CABINETRON is a guitar cabinet simulator that allows you to load up to eight guitar cabinet IRs.
IR browsing, editing, mixing, EQing, tone matching, exporting, etc.... It's a unique tool that covers the entire process from your guitar sound from your amp to your ears.
■Features
Sound Quality
Even if they share the same algorithm, each IR loader sounds different. The secret behind these differences lies in rounding errors in the convolution DSP code.
Sound quality has always been our top priority. Like the technology Three-Body Technology created for the KIRCHHOFF-EQ, we designed a noise-shaping algorithm specifically for IR convolution, ensuring that all of your guitar cabinet IR collection ""pushes air"" through CABINETRON.
Nonlinear Enhancement Option
Guitar cabinets can be simulated adequately with convolution, since 99% of cabinet/speaker behavior is linear. But what about that last 1% of nonlinearity? CABINETRON is not only a transparent linear IR loader, but also models the nonlinear behavior of how the voice coil moves within the magnet. By enhancing the nonlinearity, all IRs will sound more like realistic cabinets, resulting in a more ""3D"" tone. Of course, this parameter is adjustable.
Browsing
CABINETRON's powerful IR file browser makes it easy to start your workflow without getting lost in a massive collection.
A file management system designed specifically for IRs provides a one-step solution that lets you search, tag, add to favorites, organize multipaths, and more—all in one place, improving your workflow and allowing you to focus on the music.
Over 370 IR Presets
CABINETRON offers approximately 370 carefully designed IR presets for a variety of genres and styles.
Whether you're already an IR expert or just getting started, we hope Three-Body Technology's IR presets will inspire you.
Edit
Before you start searching for IRs, why not try tweaking an existing one?
CABINETRON is also a multi-functional IR editor, allowing you to unleash your imagination and create your own unique guitar tone. It's the only tool that lets you compare and mix up to eight cabinets.
Spectrum Smoothing Technology
CABINETRON can ""smooth"" IRs by smoothing the spectrum. By removing ""fuzzy"" components from the spectrum, resonant frequencies and phase distortion are significantly reduced.
If desired, you can even smooth the ""contour"" of the IR's frequency response to create a distinctive sound.
31 EQ Curves
CABINETRON offers 31 EQ curves specifically designed for guitar. Using the Mutation knob, you can apply an EQ curve to any IR, creating 31 variations on the original IR.
""FRED"" Miking Technique Simulation
""FRED"" is a commonly used real-world miking technique. It mixes the input signals from two microphones positioned at a 45-degree angle and adjusts the ratio of the two signals to add variety to your recordings. CABINETRON simulates this technique with a single knob.
Virtual Mic Positioning
CABINETRON allows you to adjust the horizontal position and vertical distance of the virtual microphone.
Speaker Impedance Simulation EQ
Speaker impedance is often a tricky issue when creating guitar cabinet IRs. Connecting different power amplifiers to a speaker can result in completely different frequency characteristics in the high and low frequencies.
CABINETRON lets you freely correct this. The frequency drift caused by impedance is offset by a model based on the physical cabinet circuit and implemented as a 3-band EQ.
Want a roaring low end? Turn the knob all the way up!
Auto Phase Alignment
When mixing multiple IRs, especially those from different manufacturers, you'll always face tricky phase issues due to the different latency between each IR. CABINETRON automatically adjusts it with a single click.
Mixing
Everyone loves mixing different cabinet characteristics, but it's not easy. CABINETRON's Dimension Mixer lets you adjust the ratio of each IR simply by dragging the mouse freely in the virtual space between each IR.
Forget about the detailed parameters for now, and just move the mouse until you find the point that sounds most comfortable to your ears. Music is never about analyzing numbers; it's about feeling.
EQ
Adjusting guitar EQ is no easy task. CABINETRON incorporates the core functionality of Three-Body Technology's acclaimed KIRCHHOFF-EQ equalizer, helping you turn your dream tone into a reality. - Ultimate sound quality
- 24-band parametric EQ
- 10 filter types
- Multiband control
- Multiple display ranges
- Customizable themes
