ステレオオペレーションの利便性を高める機能

1178は一般には1176のステレオバージョンですが、ng78はそれだけにとどまらず、ステレオオペレーションでの有用性を高める機能が追加されています。

通常は最大800us程度のアタックタイムは、ng78では20msまで拡張。シャープでアグレッシブなコンプレッションだけでなく、よりナチュラルでスムースなコンプレッションも可能です。加えてRATIOには新たに2:1の設定も追加。サチュレーション量を調整できるTHDコントロールも備え、グルー効果を狙うようなオペレーションでもその価値を発揮することができます。

更にはサイドチェイン・ハイパス/ハイシェルフ・フィルターを備える他、LRそれぞれの入出力、及びゲインリダクションのメーターも完備。あらゆるケースでストレスなく、理想的にオペレーションを行うことができます。

プラグインコントロール＆デジタルリコール

WesAudio ngシリーズ最大の特徴である、アナログ回路のデジタルコントロールはng78でも健在。

プラグインからのフルコントロールが可能で、プリセットを無制限に保存/リコールすることができます。オートメーションにも対応しており、本体のロータリーエンコーダーを操作してオートメーションを書くことも可能。

またプラグインではゲインリダクションをグラフ形式でも表示するなど、PC上であるからこそ実現できる直感的で邪魔にならないUIを採用しています。

Like other ng series compressors, the ng78 uses an all-analog design for all audio signal paths. No compromises were made in the circuitry, with meticulous attention to detail resulting in exceptional analog sound with the highest stability and sound quality.

Furthermore, thanks to WesAudio's outstanding technology and sensibility, the ng78 achieves stereo functionality and sound that surpasses the original. The ng78 is packed with features that allow for more flexible operation, including a transformer-balanced output using Carnhill transformers, an attack time extended to 20ms, a newly added 2:1 ratio setting, and THD for manipulating the sound character. It delivers not only the punchy sound of the past, but also the natural, clear sound required for stereo compression.

And of course, the ng series' standard features of preset recall, plug-in control, and automation are also available. The ng78 is the ideal ""1178,"" flawlessly combining the brilliance of a classic FET compressor with the convenience and versatility required for modern times.
