Based on beloved hardware from the '60s and '70s, the VEQ-55b features four independent bands with up to 12dB of boost or cut. The high and low bands can be switched between bell curve or shelving behavior.
The unit's musicality relies in part on the proportional Q behavior of each band, resulting in a gentler Q slope at lower boost or cut levels and a steeper slope at higher levels.
In addition, adjacent EQ bands allow you to select overlapping frequencies, allowing you to create complex curves and tune to your perfect sound.
As with all Antelope Audio FPGA models, the tonal characteristics of vintage circuits have been carefully modeled to infuse your audio with a rich, analog character.
