The Slingerland Studio King was born in the 1990s, based on the specifications of a standard drum from the studio recording world of the 1970s. It features a newly redesigned 10-ply shell made of alternating maple and poplar. It features the Zoomatic Throw-Off feature used in mid-model models, providing excellent operability and smooth transitions.
