Transforming Sound
Erosia is a cinematic sound design engine that lets you ""hear"" at distances far beyond the reach of the human ear. Every texture is born from minute details: the bowing of glass, the creaking of a hinge, ice cracking on metal. These delicate moments, captured at close range, eventually unfold into vast cinematic soundscapes. Friction becomes movement, decay becomes beauty, and sounds that would normally be unheard are transformed into powerful storytelling tools for composition and sound design.
Voice of Material
Erosia begins with material and friction. A combination of contact microphones and traditional close-mic recording captures both the subtle vibrations occurring within an object and the natural resonance of space. Bowed glass, rusted hinges, cracked piano, and broken wood reveal hidden textures. From ice breaking on a cymbal to a glass vase under tension, every sound is imbued with imperfection.
Inside the Engine
Erosia's core consists of four layers: a Grain layer that granulates texture and adds movement, plus three interchangeable Sampler or Wavetable layers. Combined, these layers create vibrant, natural, and unpredictable instruments. Streamlined Play and FX pages allow for quick and intuitive sound shaping, while the Transform page allows for seamless transitions between tension, release, and decay to alter timbre.
From Sound to Story
Erosia combines sampler realism, granular movement, and wavetable spaciousness in one evolving instrument. The modulation page lets you animate and deconstruct sounds in countless ways using LFOs, envelopes, and sequencers. Turn metal hinges into storms, glass resonances into endless drones. Every texture becomes a story.
