The McDSP Ultimate series began as a modular plug-in that allowed users to freely swap in different types of EQ and compressor. The 6060 Ultimate Module Collection, featuring the largest number of processing modules ever, represents its culmination. This collection of over 30 modules includes a diverse range of dynamics processors, including EQ, compression, saturation, distortion, various filters, expanders, and gates. New features include a custom module that produces a powerful low end with a low-frequency-optimized bias, a module modeled after a transformer-based high-frequency shaping circuit, tape simulation, de-essing, and completely new EQ and compression designs. Plug-ins currently in development are also planned for future releases. The 6060 allows up to six modules to be loaded simultaneously and controlled from a single screen. Module arrangement is freely rearranged using the Module Selector panel or the module pop-up menu. Furthermore, module combinations can be split into two independent signal paths, enabling full-scale parallel processing.
