Channel G Surround is a compressor/limiter compatible with 5.1 surround. It divides 5.1 channels into four sets: L/R, C (center), Ls/Rs (rear), and LFE (subwoofer), and allows you to adjust each set independently. You can specify a separate key to trigger each compressor, so you can easily set it up so you can use the center channel dialogue as the key information to suppress the L/R music and sound effects with the compressor. The LFE channel also features a low-pass filter. The compressor's knee characteristics can be selected from a variety of options, including console bus comps. Like Channel G, the Channel G Surround user interface is designed with compatibility with Digidesign ICON D-Control/D-Command and VenueD-Show/Profile in mind.
