AJH Synth / MiniMod VCA black

The MiniMod Discrete Cascaded VCA is a 10HP Eurorack format module. It features two discrete transistor VCA cores hardwired in series.

Internally, it operates at the same voltage and signal levels as the Model D voltage-controlled amplifier, with VCA 1's output hardwired to VCA 2's input.

An onboard jumper allows selection of a high-gain (overdrive) mode for VCA 1. In this mode, it overdrives into soft clipping, enabling the second VCA to be used similarly to a guitar amp's master volume, adding variable levels of distortion (or “grit”) to the sound.
