The Relab 176 Compressor/Limiter is based on the classic 176-style compressor from the 1960s, and recreates everything from the vacuum tubes, transformers, timing circuits, and power supply using real-time circuit simulation. The unique tone and dynamic behavior of the original hardware is faithfully reproduced in software.

Accurately Reproduces an Authentic Analog Feel:
The signal path from input to output is thoroughly modeled. By faithfully recreating the vacuum tube stage, transformers, and timing circuits, you can achieve a texture that is just like operating analog equipment.

・Compression that blends naturally into the music:
The fixed threshold/variable gain design allows the ratio and drive to interact with the source material, producing natural compression and rich harmonics that blend seamlessly into the music.

・Control the character you want:
A variety of controls, such as interstage transformer switching, positive/negative waveform detection (asymmetric), and trim adjustment, allow you to freely adjust the tone texture and transient processing. Instantly switch from a warm sound to a punchy texture depending on the application.
