WirePluck is a completely new pluck-style synthesizer from Rob Papen, a brand committed to ""thinking outside the box.""
It maximizes the performance of modern computers to achieve unprecedented, innovative sound design.
At its core is a three-layer structure with four selectable synthesis methods. Rather than aiming to imitate realistic acoustic instruments, it specializes in creating unique pluck-style sounds that inspire and inspire.
■Main Features
1. Synthesizer Overview
- A 16-voice virtual synthesizer that produces a wide variety of new pluck sounds.
- Numerous diverse presets by Rob Papen himself and renowned designers provide ready-to-use sounds.
2. User Interface and Operability
- The main screen efficiently arranges key parameters, allowing for intuitive sound editing and the selection of a wide variety of arpeggiator (ARP) presets.
- The ""Advance"" screen allows detailed adjustment of all parameters, achieving both intuitive operation and professional sound creation.
- Animated parameter dials, global settings (top-right menu), and easy back panel access via the WirePluck logo are included.
3. Multi-Layer and Sound Engine
- Freely assign different sound generator types to up to three layers, and individually set the output destination and tone for each layer.
- [Wire] A newly developed physical modeling engine generates unique tones reminiscent of the pluck of a metal wire. Control fine tuning, resonance, and stereo separation.
[String] Custom Karplus-style physical modeling. Acoustic string-like sounds, complex impulse, damping, and drift can all be configured.
[FM] Three-operator FM synth. Each oscillator has a pitch envelope and decay, allowing for sharp attack and pluck.
[Wave] Subtractive virtual analog oscillator. Equipped with 26 diverse filter types, ring/amp modulation, sub-oscillator, and more, it covers a wide range of sounds.
4. Arpeggiator (ARP) & Chord Memory
- A high-performance arpeggiator with up to 16 steps, a wide variety of patterns, and detailed step-by-step control.
- Chord memory allows for storing up to four chords. Strumming and individual note tuning, velocity, and pan adjustments are possible.
- The combination of the arpeggiator and chord functions allows for dynamic and complex performance expression.
5. Modulation Matrix & LFO
- Two LFOs + eight modulation slots.
- Supports a wide range of internal and external MIDI assignments.
- Velocity Split function allows for velocity-based tone switching and fades between the three layers.
6. Play Modes and Performance Controls
- A wide range of playing modes, including polyphonic, monophonic, MPE, legato, and arpeggio.
- Portamento (slide), pitch bend (up to ±48 semitones), and a highly playable ribbon controller (with springback function) are also included.
- Supports note response, global tuning, and external MIDI control.
7. Extensive Effects (FX) Section
- Built-in distortion (13 types), modulation effects such as chorus, flanger, and phaser, stereo delay, and a high-quality reverb (RP-VERB).
- Each effect can be individually bypassed or routed.
8. Global & System Settings
- Back panel controls for GUI resizing (100%-200%), MIDI program change and channel settings, anti-aliasing, and global tuning (supports .tun files).
- Easily access global settings that affect all instances from the back panel.
