TONEX for Mac/PC uses AI Machine Modeling technology to capture Tone Models of amps, cabinets, combos, and effect pedals (fuzz, distortion, overdrive, EQ, booster, etc.) and make them available as plug-ins for your DAW. It works as a standalone or AU/AAX/VST plug-in. Amps and pedals using TONEX Tone Models can also be used as gear models in AmpliTube, the popular guitar/bass effect amp modeling software.

It consists of two sections: the Machine Modeler, which captures and generates AI Machine Modeling Tone Models, and the Player, which allows you to search, browse, play, and customize Tone Models.

The Player sound editing section features a full EQ, noise gate, pre- and post-compressor, depth, and presence controls, as well as a high-quality reverb and VIR (IK's Volumetric Impulse Response technology with multiple IRs per cabinet). AI Machine Modeling also allows you to separate the amps and cabinets captured as Tone Models, allowing you to experiment with your own IRs or access virtual cabinets and IRs using IK's VIR™ technology to perfect your tone. All of these customizations can be saved as Tone Model presets.

## TONEX for iPhone and iPad
TONEX for iPhone and iPad is an app that lets you experience Tone Models created using AI Machine Modeling technology on your mobile device. TONEX for iPhone/iPad can be used as a standalone app or as an Audio Units plug-in for AUv3-compatible DAW apps. Featuring the same Player section as the TONEX Mac/PC software, you can enjoy playing, practicing, and recording anywhere using the realistic Tone Models unique to AI Machine Modeling. The Tone Model libraries in the TONEX iOS app and Mac/PC software run in sync, allowing you to seamlessly play your Tone Model collection across any device—in the studio, at home, or on the go.

## TONEX in ToneNET
In addition to the AmpliTube 5 preset collection, TONEX Tone Models will be available for sharing on IK Multimedia's online tone-sharing social platform, ToneNET (www.tone.net). ToneNET allows users to download over 1,000 TONEX Premium Tone Models for use with the TONEX software and app. Users can also demo Premium Tone Models not included in their current version. Users can also download 20 free User Tone Models for TONEX CS and unlimited User Tone Models for the paid versions TONEX SE, TONEX, and TONEX MAX. More Premium Tone Models created by IK Multimedia, artists, and renowned collectors are planned for release. As user-created Tone Models are shared with the ToneNET community, the ultimate Tone Model library, powered by AI Machine Modeling, continues to grow.

## TONEX Capture
You can capture Tone Models yourself using the latest computer, audio interface, and reamp box. If you're using an audio interface with an AMP OUT, such as IK Multimedia's AXE I/O, you don't need a separate reamp box. If you want to input the signal played back by the cabinet via a microphone, an audio interface with a microphone input is sufficient.

For those who want to capture the power amp signal directly without using a microphone, IK Multimedia offers the all-in-one tone modeling system, TONEX Capture. Connecting TONEX Capture between your audio interface and amplifier converts the line signal for Tone Model capture played back by the Machine Modeler section of the TONEX software into a TO AMP signal that can be connected to the amplifier. Also, by attenuating the signal output from the power amp's cabinet out and converting it to a balanced XLR signal, you can capture the amp's realistic tone as is.

Registering for TONEX Capture will receive a bonus copy of TONEX SE for Mac/PC (20 amps with 200 Tone Models and 10 pedals).

Model Your Own Rig with AI
AI Machine Modeling uses a neural network-based machine modeling program to analyze the wet and dry signals of any guitar/bass rig. AI Machine Modeling then generates an accurate algorithm from these dry and wet signals in just a few minutes.
The algorithms generated by AI Machine Modeling are called ""tone models."" These are precise clones of your actual gear, vividly recreating every nuance of your amp or pedals. For example, if you've modeled an amp and a cabinet, you can virtually separate the two elements and try different cabinet models.
