Equipped with a dual 7-band EQ, it offers a cut/boost range of -39 to +18 dB, a Q value of 0.2 to 650, channel link/unlink, M/S processing, and expanded filter slopes of 0 dB, 6 dB, 12 dB, 24 dB, 48 dB, and 96 dB. It also boasts numerous upgrades, including a large-screen interface and dark mode.
By focusing on a minimum-phase algorithm, it achieves low latency and low CPU load, enabling Weiss-quality equalization even on large mix sessions.
Weiss EQ MP focuses on the mixing workflow, based on the minimum-phase algorithm of the EQ1, the standard equalizer for mastering engineers worldwide.
The user interface is resizable, with large and dark modes available. It also features 64-bit processing with internal oversampling and a low-noise filter algorithm. Its dual 7-band EQ offers professional-grade cut/boost ranges of -39 to +18 dB and a Q value of 0.2 to 650.
The combination of Weiss Engineering's reliable hardware and Softube's workflow and ergonomics delivers impressive results. The EQ1 plug-in, featuring a complete port of the original code, is the latest and greatest product of this partnership.
The EQ1 joins other premium products, such as the DS1-MK3 and MM-1, co-developed by Weiss and Softube, demonstrating the engineering excellence of this Swiss-Swedish partnership.
