It all started when Buchla and Moog created the modular synthesizer in the 1960s.
Doepfer popularized the Eurorack standard in the 1990s, making modular systems more accessible.

Today, Softube's Modular plug-in has made modular systems accessible to everyone, and with a lineup of officially approved add-ons from 4ms, Buchla, Intellijel, and Mutable Instruments, the expandability that only plug-ins can offer is possible.

Developed in close collaboration with German Eurorack modular manufacturer Doepfer Musikelektronik, Softube Modular delivers the authentic sound, flexibility, and expandability of an analog modular system.
But Softube Modular is more than just a virtual modular system plug-in; it's an entirely new modular system platform.

Infinite Expandability
Modular is a modular system platform for use with DAW plug-ins, and can be used as both an instrument and an effect.
This basic package provides everything you need to get started with a modular system, including six Doepfer modules officially approved by Doepfer Musikelektronik and over 20 utility modules.

Optional high-quality modules from Intellijel Designs (Canada-based Intellijel Designs) and Portland-based 4ms (Portland, FL) further expand the modular system platform's capabilities.
Owners of Softube's Heartbeat drum synthesizer can add Heartbeat instrument and EQ modules to Modular, with additional modules being released in the near future.
Softube's award-winning engineering team meticulously physically modeled analog modules, component by component, resulting in a modular sound that's indistinguishable from hardware.
