The Model 82 Sequencing Mono Synth faithfully captures the iconic sound and feel of techno with its lead/bass and sequencer/arpeggiator in this plug-in.
In addition to an optimized layout, it offers modern features like drive and stereo doubling, and velocity and aftertouch support for dynamic expression.
A Softube Modular module is also available, reviving the mono synth that defined early 1990s techno music in a modern way.

Softube-Quality Emulation
As with all Softube products, the Model 82 Sequencing Mono Synth has been painstakingly modeled.
The original hardware is lauded as the sound of electronic music, and its iconic leads, basses, and arpeggios have been embodied in plug-in form, with the various circuits and interactions modeled, while retaining the distinctive dry mono sound of the original.

Iconic Techno Sequencer and Arpeggiator
Original hardware powered the rise of techno music in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
Sequencers and arpeggiators were a major factor, enabling musicians to take their hands off the keys and tweak oscillators, filters, and other controls.
The Model 82 delivers this same performance, optimized for DAWs (no keyboard training required). Sequences can be run based on the internal clock or LFO, or synchronized to your DAW (1/4, 1/8, 1/16, or 1/32 beats).

Software-Specific Additional Features and Optimized Usability
Softube quality is synonymous with high-precision emulations plus modern features.
While maintaining the original workflow, the labeling and layout have been optimized to help you find the sound you're looking for quickly.
The Model 82 also features a new Drive knob. This knob lets you increase the input level just as was done in the heyday, but with easier operation than ever before.
And the new doubling knob makes the Model 82 useful in modern stereo productions.
However, the essence of the Model 82 sound remains the same.
