Jim Marshall released a limited edition Silver Jubilee series amplifier to commemorate Marshall's 25th anniversary in 1987. The Silver Jubilee 2555 amplifier quickly became a hit among renowned rock guitarists and a rare collector's item.
This Marshall Silver Jubilee 2555 plug-in, a collaboration between Softube and Marshall, meticulously emulates the reference instrument from Marshall's collection.

Marshall's Precious Rock Amps
The Silver Jubilee series of amplifiers is based on the JCM800 series 2203 and 2204 models, but boasts a variety of nifty new features. The Silver Jubilee 2555 amplifier features a unique, innovative preamp section, offering higher gain and a slightly darker, smoother sound than the JCM800. This preamp circuit offers three gain modes: Clean, Rhythm Clip, and Lead.

The Silver Jubilee's EQ section allows for versatile tone design, setting it apart from other Marshall amplifiers. The Silver Jubilee was the first Marshall amplifier to feature power tubes that could be switched from standard pentode mode to triode mode. When the power tubes are in triode mode, the power amp's output is reduced by half, resulting in smoother, less aggressive power amp distortion. The Marshall Silver Jubilee 2555 sound is now available both as a native plug-in and as a module for Softube's guitar and bass platform, Amp Room.
