Through Softube's alliance with Buchla, the Buchla 296e Spectral Processor, featuring a wide variety of spectral processing with a large, easy-to-use filter bank, is finally available as an add-on for Softube Modular, a completely new modular system platform for DAW owners.
This is the only officially licensed plug-in version from Buchla, and it offers special features that are only available in software.

- Official Buchla-approved emulation of a rare and expensive module
- 16-bandpass filters with VCA and envelope follower for each band
- Independently adjustable envelope decay time for each band
- Programmable graphic EQ
- Real-time filter execution
- Morphable ""A"" and ""B"" level settings
- Performs complex spectral transport functions
- Special new functions allow filter performance via MIDI
- Splits the module into two 8-band vocoders, or runs two modules simultaneously for a full 16-band experience
- Externally controllable ""Freeze"" function saves the input spectrum to the module's memory as envelope values ​​or A/B levels
- Extracts multi-band envelopes from the audio input
