Add sparkle to your life with the classic Abbey Road Studios equalizer!
The RS127 Rack, RS127 Box, and RS135, meticulously modeled by Softube, offer treble equalization with maximum comfort.
This Brilliance Pack allows modern DAW-based mix engineers to add all the ambiance and treble they desire, without any harshness—just like Abbey Road Studios engineers have been recording since the 1960s.
The Abbey Road Studios Brilliance Pack is a highly specialized yet essential tool for mix engineers of all genres. The three included equalizers focus exclusively on the presence/treble range, adding air to solo tracks or entire mixes.
■Modeling Products
RS127 Rack (Gray Faceplate)
The gray RS127 is the original Abbey Road Studios treble equalizer. It can boost or cut up to 10 dB at 2.1, 3.5, and 10 kHz (formerly known as kilocycles per second).
RS127 Box (Green Faceplate)
As studios needed more units, the portable green RS127 Box was created. It uses the same circuitry as the original RS127, but with the addition of an audio transformer. Engineers quickly discovered that the transformer dramatically changed the RS127's sound quality and operating frequency, slightly increasing the frequency. Of course, this also applies to the plug-in model.
RS135
Finally, the RS135 was created to compensate for the frequencies cut off by the RS127 unit. It's fixed at 8 kHz and only provides a boost. Like the RS127 unit, it's pleasantly smooth.
