Originally, the theremin was a single-oscillator electronic instrument composed of two metal rods (one for pitch, the other for volume) controlled by the player's hand movements. This unique operation method allows the theremin to produce strange sounds, including beeps.

Stagecraft's Theremin leverages this principle of ""hand gesture control"" to develop a new way to control a monosynth. Optimized for vintage-style synth leads, this monophonic synth features hard sync and timbre control features found in classic modular synths.
