The teenage engineering/TP-7 is a high-quality portable audio recorder. It is a super versatile and compact recorder that can record and playback with its built-in microphone and speaker, as well as three two-way jacks for external microphones, headsets, and other signal sources; it also serves as a USB audio interface and can be used with an automatic transcription function.

From teenage engineering's field series comes a high-quality portable audio recorder. In addition to its beautiful design, the Field is ultra-compact at 96mm x 68mm x 16mm, yet can record and playback with its built-in microphone and speaker, or use its three 2-way jacks for external microphones, headsets, or other signal sources. It also features a rechargeable battery for 7 hours of use, 128GB of internal storage, a 24bit/96khz USB audio interface, and an automatic transcription function using an application for iOS.

The design, size, and touch feel of the buttons and rotary have been carefully considered to ensure that the product is easy to operate when picked up in the hand.

■ Tape Reel The center of the
TP-7 is where the electric tape reel is located. A delicately designed ball-bearing brushed motor and a highly sensitive Hall sensor allow you to virtually grab what you record. The reel is also used for fast forward/rewind, pause, menu navigation, and visual feedback during playback and recording.

■ Side-located rockers
The side-located rockers make it easy to control fast forward and rewind of audio.

Press the top edge to fast forward and the bottom edge to rewind.
The wheel rotates and you can hear the track being fast-forwarded or rewound at "hyperspeed.

■ Freedom from arduous transcription
If you have any experience in transcribing while listening to recorded audio, you will understand how wonderful this feature is.
A key feature of the TP-7 is that it streamlines the process of converting audio into text: simply connect your phone to the TP-7 via bluetooth or usb, open the TP-7 app, and press transcribe! The application will recognize the voice and automatically perform the transcription.
Currently, only English is supported. Other languages, such as Japanese, are planned to be supported through updates.

Quickly respond to “off-the-record”
Imagine an interview scene.
The reels of the TP-7 are spinning slowly, the bright red record lamp is lit, and the conversation is being recorded.
While the interview is going smoothly, you may suddenly be asked a personal question or asked to do something off the record.
At that time, gently placing your finger on the reel pauses the recording, allowing you to continue the interview without interrupting the flow.

With 128 GB of internal storage, the TP-7 can store 5 minutes of ideas per day for 20 years.
