Following the critically acclaimed first release, Kamikaze Breaks, comes the second installment of Japanese battle breaks, ""Samurai Breaks,"" produced by DJ $hin, a veteran of the Japanese turntablist scene!
Like its predecessor, this release is themed around Japanese music and is perfect for battles, mix CDs, club play, and more. Naturally, the Japanese material has been beefed up even more than the previous release! It's packed with useful phrases you've likely heard somewhere.
Furthermore, for ease of use in battles, the grooves are subdivided into the beginning, middle, and end of the battle, making it easy to choose material. Even when not prepared, they're perfect for improvisation, making them a valuable addition.
The grooves for classic scratching, like ""Ahhhh"" and ""Fresh,"" as well as reggae DJ voices and drums, are all skip-proof (the sound remains unchanged even if the needle skips), so you won't have to worry about anything on the spot.
It also includes many samples of famous old-school hip-hop phrases, making this one disc invincible! The included electro beat, ""808 Bounce,"" is a killer track that starts off low and then suddenly changes into a drum and bass beat midway through!
