AMPLE BASS ACOUSTIC 4 is an acoustic bass sound module that lets you play the Guild B-54 CE model on your computer. Sounds meticulously sampled from the 0th to 22nd frets of each string are available as microphone-recorded samples and DI samples from the piezo pickup, allowing you to mix them. Separate EQ settings for the microphone and DI allow for a wide range of sound creation. As with other AMPLE BASS series instruments, each string can be tuned down a full step.

Articulations include sustain, palm mute, natural harmonics, legato slide, hammer-on/pull-off, and slap, all recorded with a dry sound without reverberation. Randomization of picking attack strength and automatic insertion of fret and release noises at appropriate points allow for lively performances. Starting with version 3, it is now possible to randomly reproduce string buzz noises during performance.

Also, starting with version 4, the ""Riffer"" function for creating bass riffs has been updated to ""Riffer 4."" Riff editing is now possible using the newly added piano roll screen. Notes are color-coded in four colors based on the string played on the piano roll, allowing you to visualize which notes are played on which strings while editing. It also features a DAW-like MIDI CC and velocity editor. You can even specify chords or keys to transpose notes together.

Other features include a Tab Player Panel that can read and play tablature created in the tablature and score editing software ""Guitar Pro"" format ("".gp3"", "".gp4"", "".gp5"", "".gpx""). It also features an 8-band EQ, a compressor with selectable RMS and Peak, a 6-Tap Echo, and IR Reverb. ""AMPLE BASS ACOUSTIC III"" is an acoustic bass sound source that combines ease of use with the necessary articulations and functionality to support your performance with the natural tone unique to acoustic instruments.

- Capo Logic automatically selects the optimal fret/position (manual selection of the fret position/string to be used for performance is also possible).

- Open String First prioritizes open strings in phrases played in high positions.
- When launched as a standalone application, MIDI input can be performed using the computer's keyboard as a virtual keyboard.
- Adjustable attack time and start time, which occurs between the time the pick hits the string and the time it is plucked and sounds.
