The SD909 is a module that faithfully reproduces the snare drum of the TR-909.

The sound of the SD909 consists of two sections: a binary noise generator that makes up the sonic spectrum and two modulated triangle wave oscillators that form the low-end punch. This produces a very rich 909 snare sound, and since these two are variable and CV-controllable, the SD909 can be used to create a wide variety of original sounds and even new sounds. Setting the tune to the point indicated on the panel produces a snare sound that is faithful to the 909.
In addition to the snare sound output, there is also an output that continuously outputs the binary noise that is the material for the snare sound, so it can be used as a noise sound source.
