The RS808 is a module that faithfully reproduces the rimshot/claves sound of the TR-808.

While the original 808 did not have editable tones, the RS808 has two additional parameters, Snappy and Pitch, that can be edited. There are two switches on the panel, and you can switch between four different sounds by combining the switches. The combination of the two switches on the panel allows you to switch between four different sounds: both up for claves, both down for rimshots, left up and right down for a mix of rimshots and claves, and right up and left down for a so-called “click” sound used to guide the rhythm. The left up and the right down can be used to create a so-called “click” sound used to guide the rhythm.
