The MP-700 inherits the tradition of the MP series while evolving for the modern age.
In particular, improved magnetic circuitry and the adoption of a tension wire structure improve sound clarity and spaciousness, creating a richer musical experience.
We hope it will be an attractive choice for many audiophiles.
The MP-700 is the culmination of Nagaoka's technology and passion, built up over 85 years of history.
Experience it for yourself.

[MP-700's Attention to Detail and Innovation]
The MP-700 incorporates meticulous design and innovative technology to deliver unprecedented excitement to all music lovers.
1. Addition of a Magnetic Flux Induction Plate to the Cartridge
Adding a magnetic flux induction plate improves the efficiency of magnetic flux flow within the magnetic circuit.
Increasing the amount of magnetic flux around the permalloy at the rear end of the cantilever improves sensitivity to weak vibrations.
This enables the capture of a wide range of subtle sounds that support spatial expression, resulting in clearer sound imaging and positioning.
Expect a new sonic experience brought about by the evolution of the cartridge structure.
2. ""Triple-Layer"" Surface Treatment Achieves Both Durability and Beauty
The cartridge frame is made of ultra-super duralumin.
The cartridge frame and shielding case are further treated with a three-layer surface treatment (nickel plating, black tin plating, and insulating coating) to prevent the intrusion of static electricity and reduce noise, resulting in quieter, more stable sound quality.
It also boasts heat, abrasion, and chemical resistance, ensuring its beauty lasts for years to come.
3. Clear sound contours and stability produced by the ""tension wire"" and ""microridge stylus""
The MP Series is the first to adopt a tension wire structure, the result of years of research and technology.
This suppresses the effects of stylus pressure changes caused by warping or distortion of the record, improving tracing stability and producing clearer sound contours across each frequency range.
Furthermore, the use of a microridge stylus not only adds thickness and depth to the sound, but also enhances the clarity of reverberation, resulting in a rich sound quality.
