BFD Dark Farm delivers hard-hitting drums with a distinctive sense of space and punch, perfect for aggressive styles like metal, hard rock, and punk, created in the live room at Middle Farm Studio. This BFD3 Expansion includes three drum kits, including a copper-shell kit from Q Drum Co.
Copper drum shells are renowned for their punchy, controlled tone, perfect for tearing through walls of dense, distorted guitar. The album also features a wide selection of cymbals, including a 20"" Crash of Doom and two hi-hats: a 15"" K Light and a 16"" K Sweet. BFD Dark Farm features over 30 fully articulated, multi-sampled instruments.

Recorded in a World-Class Live Room
Opened in 2010, Middle Farm Studios, located in south Devon, England, is one of the most popular and internationally recognized studios for drum recording. The spacious live room, with its sloped ceiling and stone walls, breathes life into percussion.
To create the sound of BFD Dark Farm, engineers made full use of Middle Farm's modern and vintage microphones, outboard gear, and the studio's heartbeat: the Trident Series 70 recording console. All drums were recorded in collaboration with producer and studio owner Peter Miles, and the sound of BFD Dark Farm fully demonstrates Middle Farm's world-class potential.

BFD Dark Farm features meticulously recorded drums and 287 grooves across seven groove palettes. These grooves are perfect for all genres of hard and heavy music, including metal, rock, alternative, doom, and progressive rock. They're the perfect spark to bring your musical ideas to life.
