BFD Horsepower is a BFD3 expansion featuring a wide range of American-style drum sounds, from blues to alt-country, garage, and folk. Featuring Gretsch USA Custom kits, Sabian hi-hats, and Zildjian cymbals, the sounds were recorded with a vintage, dirty sound combined with modern punch.

BFD Horsepower includes stick and brush kits, each processed in two distinct styles, as well as an unprocessed version. These six kits feature an exceptional level of detail and playability, making them ideal for playing with electronic drums. This drum kit will inspire a wide range of songwriting and music production.

The unique sound is born from the placement and tuning of the drums, followed by the microphone selection and processing techniques. A warm ribbon microphone provides room ambience, and several ""character channels"" offer saturated vintage tones. Custom plate processing and a unique ""trash can"" microphone add a lo-fi, dirty feel. While the snare is damped with paper and towels, the other drums are undamped and tuned to match the room, allowing you to incorporate an open, resonant sound into your mix.
