BFD Sphere is an expansion pack for hard rock/metal BFD3, BFD Eco, and BFD2 by Acle Kahney, founder of Tesseract and 4D Sounds. This pack, which he considers to be his ideal drum sound, was recorded at London's Sphere Studios before it relocated by Francesco Cameli, who has worked on recordings with Bullet For My Valentine, Queen, Phil Collins, New Model Army, and others.

This pack features a Vibe kit with four DW toms and a Ludwig Black Beauty snare. The drums were tuned for the Sphere Studio's live room by veteran drummers Jamie Postones (Tesseract) and Mike Malyan (Monuments), who bring a new dynamic to a new generation of drumming. Recorded using Neve preamps for detail and warmth.

In addition to the natural-sounding kits, BFD Sphere also includes processed versions ready to be inserted directly into metal or hard rock mixes. All kits are compatible with BFD3, BFD Eco, and BFD2 format presets and can be used with standard cymbals and hi-hats. The snare includes only Hit and Rimshot articulations.
