My Mute(TM) reduces the volume to about 1/5 of the raw sound. By attaching a large mass weight (My Mute(TM)) to the top of the piece, which is one end of the string vibration, the mass effect (law of inertia) of the weight prevents the top of the piece from vibrating, and the vibration transmitted to the front and back boards is also extremely small, thus muffling the sound. The piece will not vibrate abnormally, nor will it be moved by the vibration of the weight.
The use of “My Mute (TM)” will have a great muffling effect, but it does not mean that sound will be completely eliminated. Please play with consideration for your neighbors.

allows easy and secure installation and prevents it from falling off while playing. When firmly secured with screws, it will not fall off even if the instrument is turned upside down. Unlike comb-type mutes and silencers that are attached by pushing them into the piece, the mute can be attached and detached without damaging the piece.
